Who LOW-PRO HEEL Is For
Use strap-on heel cleats when full-sole ice cleats aren't an option. LOW-PRO HEEL is the right choice when you need to:
Follow company safety rules that prohibit wearing anything on the sole that could interfere with foot controls while driving;
Keep the defined heel of your footwear fully exposed, so climbing ladders is safer;
Avoid slipping off foot rests and pedals on equipment, snowmobiles, ATVs, and bikes; and
Keep your cleats on all day while you drive and go in and out of buildings. With Transitional Traction™, LOW-PRO HEEL is safe on most indoor floors and while driving.
A heel-only ice cleat does double duty. It has to keep your heel from slipping, and it has to grip well enough to keep your footwear from twisting, especially on uneven ice. And it does that with far fewer studs than a full-sole cleat. This is no time for a bargain brand: the straps and the studs both need to be completely reliable.
How LOW-PRO HEEL Grips
14 well-distributed 1mm tungsten carbide studs, seven on each heel cleat, positioned so the most studs touch down on uneven ice.
Transitional Traction™: the studs are minimally exposed, so you can wear LOW-PRO HEEL on most indoor floors and while driving.
Tungsten carbide is the hardest, most durable stud material, lasting far longer than the carbon steel in most competing products, and the stud design keeps them equally effective for their whole life.
Molded-in studs for maximum reliability and durability.
An aggressive, self-cleaning tread gives you better traction in deep snow and keeps the studs in contact with the ice.
Why Employees Keep LOW-PRO HEEL On
Most employees are under pressure to stay on schedule. Stopping to take off their ice cleats every time they go indoors or get in a vehicle, and then putting them back on, is frustrating and slow. So, often, they don't do it, and the cleats stay in the truck.
Because LOW-PRO HEEL is safe on most indoor floors and while driving, that problem largely goes away. Employees stay protected, lost-time accidents go down, and productivity stays high.
Fits All Your Footwear
Replaceable, adjustable straps adjust quickly to fit all your footwear, including bulky boots.
Each heel cleat weighs less than 4 oz, so it adds no noticeable weight.
Small enough to keep in your pocket or glove compartment, so they're always with you.

Transitional Traction™: safe on most indoor floors and while driving
Aggressive, self-cleaning tread
Replaceable, adjustable straps fit all footwear, including bulky boots
Leaves the defined heel of your footwear exposed for ladders
Less than 4 oz per heel cleat; compact enough for a pocket
Yes, on most indoor floors. Thanks to Transitional Traction™, the 1mm studs are minimally exposed, so they're far safer indoors than heel cleats with longer spikes. That's the main reason to choose LOW-PRO HEEL.
Can I drive while wearing them?
Yes. Winter Walking rates LOW-PRO HEEL safe for driving, and because there's nothing under the front of your shoe, it also meets company rules against wearing anything that could interfere with the pedals. Ultimately it is up to you, or your safety manager, to decide whether that is acceptable for your vehicle and your job.
Should I choose LOW-PRO HEEL, HEEL-GRIPS, or LOW-PRO?
LOW-PRO HEEL: you're constantly driving and going in and out of doors, and you can't wear full-sole cleats.
HEEL-GRIPS: you're constantly driving but not often going indoors. Its ten 2mm tungsten carbide studs grip better, but they have to come off indoors.
LOW-PRO: you're driving and going in and out, and you aren't restricted from wearing full-sole cleats. Full-sole Transitional Traction™ gives you the most protection.
